RSVP Date

I am making my own wedding invitations and I am unsure as to when I should make the RSVP date. Any advice?

6 Months to go & nothing planned

My fiance & I are getting married may 26th 2009...6 months from now & we haven't found a place to get married, I can't decide on bridesmaids & he can't decide on groomsmen...where is there a place in Indianapolis that's under $1000 to rent for ceremony or reception???

OMG! I cant say enough about A Step Above in Carmel! They are awesome ..found me THE veil jewelry and headpiece to go with vintage/moms gown .. Thanks to Sandi for answering a million questions! They rock ... and then prices are excellent!!!

Ticket Stub Invitations

My fiance and I were wondering if anyone knew of a website or a printing shop that would do ticket stub invitations or if anyone had ever done ticket stub invitations on their own?

Since we saved in other areas, we splurged and went with Papyrus for our invitations. They have the coolest stuff and the quality is awesome. They can work with any style and color scheme. We highly recommend them!

How do you let your guest know that children are invited to the wedding and the reception? Do you have it on the response card or the invitation its self?

The Garrison Inn at Fort Ben

I wanted to get some input about the Garrison Inn at Fort Ben Harrison. I've taken a look at it, but want some opinions from someone who has actually attended a reception there. I like that the majority of the reception can be indoors but there is a patio available too. Any input is appreciated! Thank you! (We're currently living out of state due to the military, but plan on going home for the wedding. It's hard to plan from California)!

How old is too old for a flower girl?

My fiance wants his 8 year old niece to be in the wedding...is that too old to be a flower girl? I already have 2 cousins that will be 3 years old lined up to be flower girls as well...how old is too old and can you have too many flower girls?

Favors - need quotes or cute sayings

I am having a star themed wedding and have decided to give away star ornaments as favors. I want to attach some sort of catchy saying or quote to the ornaments thanking everyone for sharing in our day... any advice?

My husband and I chose this location for our reception and to make our wedding cake. I will start by saying that the location was perfect-a great outdoor setting....however...a few words of advice:
If you are looking for a place that will work with you and listen to what you want for your wedding day, I would suggest trying another location.
First I will start with the cake-I supplied a photo, was very detailed about what I wanted, and it was a total DISASTER. The cake barely resembled the photo (which was a photo of a very simple cake), guests complained about the dryness of the cake (which was not cheap)and barely any was eaten. The owners refused to do anything about this.
Second, the bartender was complaining to guests that she was not selling enough drinks (even though there was constant line). A little unprofessional to say the least.
Third, when we left the place was completely spotless - we only received a check for a small portion of our deposit-when I asked why (about 4 times) I never heard a response. The wedding was in July, it is now November, and I still have never had an explanation about where the rest of our deposit went...
Throughout our entire experience the staff and owners were very rude, and kept popping up with added expenses everywhere.
Overall we had a great day b/c of the guests,ceremony, outdoor reception location (weather was perfect),DJ and photographers.
For anyone who is planning a wedding or reception here...I will just say good luck and I hope you have a better experience than my husband and I.

Yellow Rose Inn

Any feed back on the yellow rose inn? good, bad, or ugly?

praise for Harpist and location

I met with Elizabeth Ahlgrim, Harpist and she is great. Not only did she give great advice (she practically organized my whole wedding and helped with the rehearsal) but she really asked us some very good questions that led us to make music choices we never thought we would make. She really cared about us. We talked with several muscians and not only did she provide great service beyond her music, but the price was really right for our Friday night event.

Kudos to the Zoo Gardens for our gorgeous ceremony! The weather was perfect, the flowers were spectacular and their staff was great. I was worried there wouldn't be enough wait staff, but they were always moving and kept my reception moving smoothly. It truly was the day of our dreams!!!

Personal wedding site crash!

Help! Has anyone else had a problem with the Perfect Wedding Guide personal websites? I set mine up about a month ago and it was working fine, then yesterday, the day I sent out my invitations, all of the photo links broke! And when I tried to download new photos to fix the links, they still wouldn't show. People are going to start getting invitations today with the website address on it and I really want the photos to work. Anyone have any suggestions about how to get the website fixed?

Laurel Hall

We are thinking about renting Laurel Hall for our wedding and reception. Has anyone been to a wedding there? What did you think? It is gorgeous but the rental fee is $3500 (which is a lot of money to us) so we want to be sure that it is worth it!

Pre-Marital Counseling

My fiance' and I are having some relationship woes, and are planning to seek counseling. I wanted to know if anyone knew of any good (cheap) counselors we could talk to in the area. Please let me know....its very important that we work to resolve our issues ASAP!

five months

I am getting married in may and i still have so much to do, I dont even know where to begin. My bridesmaids can't help their either from out of town, or consumed with family and work. I have the location picked and payed already but nothing else... help what do i start with???
